Overview on Bathing the Baby

This course covers the correct procedure for bathing a newborn or infant in the clinical setting. Students will learn how to prepare the bath water to the correct temperature, the correct sequence for cleaning the baby’s eyes, face, head, and body, how to care for the cord during bathing, and how to keep the baby warm and comfortable throughout. This course also covers teaching the mother to bath her baby independently.
